WHAT TYPE OF BUSINESSES DO YOU INVEST IN?
I invest in businesses with strong fundamentals, clear market demand, and a scalable model. I look for individuals who understand their industry, have a strategic growth plan, and demonstrate financial discipline. Furthermore, I invest in businesses where the founders show commitment, clarity of vision, and adaptability. A driven individual with a strong mission matters just as much as the product. I focus mainly on businesses in the tech, retail, real estate, consumer products, and services that have high growth potential and a competitive advantage. Additionally, I invest in businesses that not only have solid financial potential but also create meaningful value, whether through innovation, community impact, or solving real problems. I don’t limit myself to a single category. I invest in businesses where I see potential, a strong value proposition, and a path to sustainable growth.
HOW MUCH DO YOU TYPICALLY INVEST?
I don’t have a fixed amount. It depends on the business model, market potential, and how much capital is needed to launch properly. I invest based on what will set the business up for success. Typically, my investments range from £5,000 - £50,000, depending on the stage of the product and the resources required. I evaluate each opportunity individually. Some products need a small amount to validate the idea, while others require more substantial funding. I invest according to the scope and potential return. My investment size depends largely on the founder’s plan, how well they understand their costs, their market, and what they need to get the product off the ground. Rather than committing to a specific amount, I focus on what the business needs and whether the investment will drive meaningful progress.
WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR IN A BUSINESS BEFORE INVESTING?
I look for a solid business model, clear market demand, strong financial projections, and a team that can execute. I want to see that the business solves a real problem and has a clear path to growth. I prioritise the people behind the business. A committed, knowledgeable founder with a well thought out plan is often more important than the idea itself. I look for businesses with a defined target market, a competitive advantage, and the potential to scale. If the business can grow sustainably, it’s a strong candidate for investment. I look for clarity in costs, realistic projections, and an understanding of potential risks. A business that knows its numbers and its market stands out to me. I look for businesses that not only make financial sense but also deliver meaningful value, whether through innovation, community impact, or solving a persistent problem.
DO I NEED TO HAVE REVENUE TO QUALIFY FOR INVESTMENT
No, you don’t need to have revenue to qualify. I invest in both early-stage ideas and existing businesses. What matters most is a solid plan and a strong understanding of your market. Revenue helps, but it’s not required. I look at the strength of the concept, the business model, and the founder’s ability to execute. Some great businesses start with funding before revenue. Many products need initial investment to get to the revenue stage. As long as the idea is viable and you’ve done your homework, you can still qualify. What’s more important is a clear path to revenue, how you plan to acquire customers and scale.”
